Leslie Lundy, Principal
Leslie Lundy is in her third year as Principal of Everglades Elementary School and 26th year with Okeechobee County Schools. Prior to her position at Everglades, Leslie has been a teacher, reading coach, assistant principal and Director of Grants and Special Programs. Before beginning her career with the school system, Leslie received her AA degree from Indian River Community College, a Bachelor’s degree from University of Central Florida and Master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University. Leslie loves the position of Principal and is rewarded by the pride Everglades Elementary students take in being an Everglades’ Gator as well as the gains students have demonstrated. She accepted the position because she felt it would be a professional challenge in her career and she feels it was the right decision. Leslie looks forward to continued growth and achievement for the students of Everglades.
Jennifer Ellis, Assistant Principal
Jenni Ellis is in her first year as Assistant Principal of Everglades Elementary School. As a previous student herself at Everglades, she feels honored to return after many years as Assistant Principal! Prior to her new position at Everglades, Jenni has been a 4th grade teacher. Before beginning her career with the school system, Jenni earned a Bachelor’s degree from Nova Southeastern University and Master’s degree from University of West Florida. Jenni is looking forward to getting to know the students and families at Everglades and is ready for an awesome school year!
