Tracy Downing, Principal
Tracy Downing is entering her 23rd year in education with the Okeechobee County School District. Having graduated from Okeechobee High School, and with her own three children being educated in the Okeechobee County School System, Ms. Downing is committed to serving the students in this district and providing them with a high quality education. She is the previous principal of Seminole Elementary School and South Elementary School, and she is extremely excited about working with the students at Everglades Elementary School where the faculty and staff are dedicated to the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of ALL students.
Jennifer Ellis, Assistant Principal
Jenni Ellis is in her second year as Assistant Principal of Everglades Elementary School. As a previous student herself at Everglades, she feels honored to return after many years as Assistant Principal! Prior to her new position at Everglades, Jenni has been a 4th grade teacher. Before beginning her career with the school system, Jenni earned a Bachelor’s degree from Nova Southeastern University and Master’s degree from University of West Florida. Jenni is looking forward to getting to know the students and families at Everglades and is ready for an awesome school year!
